Nothing beats summer! It’s the peak season for sunshine, sundowners and fun nights out! We want to make sure that you look and feel your best this summer so, we’ve put together a few essential grooming tips for men.
Wash your face daily
Remember (a) men naturally have oilier skin than women and (b) you pick up lots of pollutants on your skin during the day so make sure you clean your skin before you go to bed at night and when you wake up in the morning. This will keep your face looking fresh and breakouts to the minimum. Choose a face wash with the least amount of harsh ingredients possible. Some men even opt for using the humble Dove soap bar to cleanse their face.
Moisturise your face
Make sure you apply a moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated and looking its best. You don’t have to use extremely heavy creams that you usually use in winter as these usually leave your skin feeling oily. Opt for a natural moisturisers, such as Legend Facial Conditioner, that will keep your skin moisturised, soothed and protected.
Keep your skin protected from the harsh sun
Don’t let yourself roast in the sun. There’s nothing wrong with a little bit of a golden sheen; however, getting sunburnt can damage your skin and even lead to skin issues, such as skin cancer and melanoma. Use sunscreen if you’re going to be exposed to the sun, especially on dark marks and on your face.
Keep your hair trimmed, fresh and clean
If your hair gets oily fast, wash it everyday, otherwise wash it every other day to get rid of oil and dirt. If you have long hair, you can tie it up when it gets too hot. If your hair is short, make sure you keep it neatly groomed. The same applies to facial hair; make sure you keep it groomed. You can use gel to keep your hair in place and beard oil to keep your beard looking neat and tamed.
Always rock up smelling fresh
Invest in a decent cologne; however, don’t use too much. Test a few before you buy one to make sure the scent suits you.
Have an awesome summer!
